Profile

I am a graphic designer, illustrator and educator based in Dublin. Graduating from NCAD with a BA (Hons) in Visual Communication and an MA in Art in the Contemporary World. My work employs a variety of mediums such as paint, photography and graphic design. I explores concepts such as gender equality, racial injustice and political activism. My exhibition works at the NCAD gallery show ‘A Reluctant Mirage’, focused on the importance of music in social and cultural change. Combining music and art in a series of posters and a podcast. I am also a qualified secondary school teacher, my goal is to encourage young minds to engage in political and social discourse through art and design.

I have a deep passion for photography and documenting through illustration. The majority of my paintings are taken from my own photos or live sketches of locations around the world.

I have been drawing most of my life, but painting is a skill I have been developing in recent years. I began researching Fauvist art and found that the techniques and style were something I wanted to incorporate into my own work. I love the idea of exaggerating and embellishing colours to make an enticing and dramatic artwork.

I’ve always had an interest in architecture, how it can reflect social and cultural dynamics through how the structures are presented or their function.
